The final of the Mens Doubles League took place on Saturday 1st May, and in the spirit of this well suppported league the winter conditions returned! With the Suttons losing the first half clash, this was going to be a closely fought match with the Steve & Elliot needing a win to secure 1st place on sets difference. Steve & Elliot won the 1st set 6 - 2 in ideal conditions, no wind, but then the rain came and Ivan & Sergio, who appeared to have adapted to our British weather, upped the pressure and won the 2nd set 6 - 2. With all to play for in the 3rd set sheer determination and excellent play saw Steve & Elliot bring home the title. Well done to all who took part over the past 8 months, some excellent matches played under some adverse weather conditions.
